Cape Town · Est. with Love

Food made the long way, for the people who need it.

Zulayga has been cooking for her community most of her life. It began with pots too big for one family — food carried to neighbours, to church halls, to anyone who arrived hungry or heartsore. Somewhere along the way the children stopped using her name and started calling her Aunty Zu. The name stayed, and so did the way she works: slowly, by hand, with care.

Properly, and with love

From marinates prepared with passion and samoosas rooted in a lifelong tradition, to the joy of thrifting and discovering carefully curated treasures — every chapter reflects a part of my journey. Each brings together a little of who I am, what I love, and the joy of sharing something special with others.

Four chapters. One journey.

A little piece of me in everything I share.
